Livy Malle
Livy Malle joined Marian University’s Social Work Department in 2025 as Field Director and Associate Professor. She brings extensive direct practice experience serving children and families involved in child protection, family court, foster care, and adoption, as well as leadership experience in nonprofit agency administration in the Milwaukee area. Her areas of expertise include child well-being, child maltreatment, custody matters, family systems, and permanency planning for children in alternate care.
Livy is also an experienced course developer. She has created curriculum on suicide prevention, human behavior, social work with groups, and online introductory social work courses for both BSW and MSW programs. She continues to teach as adjunct faculty for Saint Mary’s University–Minnesota.
Before joining Marian, Livy served for nine years as a Senior Lecturer in the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, where she also worked as Adjunct Program Director and a member of the department’s leadership team.
Livy earned her MSW from UW–Milwaukee in 2007 and has taught as an adjunct since 2016. She is certified as an Advanced Practice Social Worker (APSW) and a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW).
