Cheryl Seelig

Associate Dean / Chief Nurse Administrator

Dr. Cheryl Seelig is a dedicated nursing leader committed to strengthening healthcare workforce pathways and elevating the student experience at Marian University. As Associate Dean and Chief Nursing Administrator, she helps guide the academic direction of the nursing, radiology, and exercise and sports science programs while supporting faculty and ensuring high-quality undergraduate and graduate nursing education.

Dr. Seelig oversees curriculum development, accreditation efforts, clinical partnership expansion, and program assessment. She works closely with campus leadership and healthcare organizations to align programs with regional workforce needs. Her role also includes coordinating clinical placements, supporting faculty recruitment and development, and ensuring students have access to meaningful learning experiences—ranging from skills labs and simulation to community engagement and hands-on practice. Her leadership is driven by a commitment to preparing compassionate, practice-ready practitioners and advancing the future of healthcare.

She earned her MSN and DHA from the University of Phoenix and brings more than 28 years of experience as a registered nurse across cardiology, medical-surgical care, long-term care, leadership, and education. Dr. Seelig is active in regional nursing and workforce development initiatives and leads Queen Wellness & Fitness, a women’s health and lifestyle brand. Outside of work, she enjoys family time, outdoor activities, and caring for her golden retriever, Millie.
