WI Act 20 was signed into law June 2017. The law is designed to encourage medical and dental healthcare integration and fill the need for more workforce models that prepare dental hygienists to meet the oral health needs of vulnerable, underserved and rural populations. Coursework in Marian’s BSDH program provides resources and tools for hygienists to work in community and primary care settings, creating new opportunities for dental hygienists.
