Graduates of Marian University’s Undergraduate Certificate in Thanatology gain the knowledge and skills to support individuals and families experiencing death, loss, and grief. This certificate prepares professionals for roles in hospice and palliative care, funeral service, grief counseling, end-of-life doula work, social services, education, and ministry. With a trauma-informed, interdisciplinary approach, students develop practical skills and compassionate insight to make a meaningful impact in people-centered careers.
