Office of Student Success
Office of Student Success
The Office for Student Success is here to guide and empower you along your academic adventure. Our team is dedicated to fostering your growth and achievement by providing personalized resources and a supportive environment designed to help you thrive.
Every undergraduate student is paired with a dedicated academic advisor from their chosen major—or, for those still exploring, an advisor from the EXCEL and Undeclared programs. These advisors are your partners in navigating course selection, setting goals, and making important decisions about your future.
Regular meetings with your advisor ensure you stay on track while giving you the tools to take charge of your academic and career success. While advisors provide invaluable guidance, the responsibility for meeting program requirements ultimately rests with you.
Potential Topics to Discuss with an Advisor
- Setting academic, career, and life goals
- Selecting courses and connecting majors to careers
- Exploring double majors, minors, or certificates
- Connecting with tutors and campus organizations
- Volunteering opportunities
- Finding internships and study abroad programs
- Graduation planning and degree completion
- Discussing graduate school options
Together, we’ll chart your path to success.
We’re committed to your success at every step of the way. If you have questions or need assistance, reach out to your academic advisor or the Dean of Academic Advising and Academic Services.

To recommend a student to be considered as a tutor, please contact Lauren McLaughlin at lmmclaughlin22@marianuniversity.edu. All tutors must fill out and submit a Tutor Application.
