Marian University women’s volleyball (5-7, 0-1 NACC) was defeated 25-21, 25-19, 25-22 by Aurora in its NACC opener.

- The Spartans then rallied going on a 9-2 run to lead 24-20.
- After Marian held off the first set point, Aurora finished the job for the 1-0 lead.
- The second set was tied 9-9 but Aurora pulled away scoring the next seven points.
- Aurora took the first three points of the third set but Marian chipped away and led 16-15.
- The Spartans then took control with a 7-1 spurt.
- Marian cut its deficit down to as little as two, but Aurora was able to finish off the sweep.
- Aurora held a 40-35 edge for kills with the Spartans hitting .216 in the match.
- The Sabre back row finished with a 67-61 advantage for digs.
- Marian finished with double-digit kills in all three sets.
- Aurora is now 21-7 all-time against Marian having won the last 11 meetings.
