Marian University softball (10-8, 4-2 NACC) played well but was defeated by No. 23 UW-Oshkosh 3-1 and 7-0.
GAME 1
- The Sabres were able to strike first when junior Kendall Pliner drove in a run in the bottom of the second inning.
- This lead lasted until the fourth when UW-Oshkosh scored a pair of runs to take a 2-1 advantage.
- The Titans would add to its lead in the top of the seventh and led 3-1.
- Marian was able to put together a two-out rally and put the tying run on base in the bottom of the seventh.
- A strikeout would end the game, however.
GAME 2
- The Titans were able to strike early plating three runs in the first two innings.
- The Sabres would load the bases in the bottom of the second inning but were held off the scoreboard.
- UW-Oshkosh was able to break the game open scoring three runs in the fourth to lead 6-0.
- A home run for the Titans in the top half of the sixth would seal the final at 7-0.
- The Sabres were also able to put a runner in scoring position in the sixth inning.
