Herr-Baker Field Baseball Stadium

The big event! After robing in the Lenz Center, graduates will process to the Herr-Baker Field Baseball Stadium where they will be seated on the field. At the appropriate time, they will cross the stage and receive their diploma from President Majewski. A professional photographer will capture the moment and another photo will be taken of each graduate with their diploma when they descend from the stage.

If bad weather heads our way, the President and Cabinet of Marian University will decide 48 hours before the ceremony to move it to Sadoff Gymnasium. If moved inside the Commencement ceremony will be split into two ceremonies. The split will be determined based on the program you are graduating with.

*Please note that wristbands will be required for guests to enter the stadium. See below for further details.

RSVP to Graduation events by April 1.

Graduates who have participated in a study abroad program can order a “global studies” medallion from the following website: https://www.graduation-stoles.com/product/international-study-abroad-medallion/.

Wristband Policy

Marian University maintains a wristband policy for its outdoor commencement ceremony. Guests will require a wristband to enter the stadium, which opens one hour before the ceremony. Wristbands will be provided in the graduate’s graduation packet. Guests requiring handicapped seating will have a designated area for seating. The stadium is equipped for all ADA requirements.

Guests without wristbands are invited to bring lawn chairs and sit around the perimeter of the baseball field. For those who prefer a temperature-controlled environment, guests without wristbands can watch a live stream of the ceremony in the Stayer Center Auditorium. The live ceremony can also be viewed online via a link that will appear on the Marian webpage, www.marianuniversity.edu, on commencement day.
