POSITION TITLE:    Vice President for Enrollment Management

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides vision and strategic direction for enrollment management, marketing, and communication. This position has responsibility for development, oversight and management of all university enrollment, recruiting, and related marketing communication programs to ensure the University achieves its enrollment goals. Develop and manage the implementation and execution of an integrated marketing and recruitment plan in accordance with the mission, core values, and purposes of the university.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Provide strategic mission-driven vision, leadership, and management for all areas of enrollment management, including traditional undergraduate and online and on-ground adult undergraduate and graduate programs.
  2. Establish and implement a comprehensive enrollment plan designed to achieve the university’s overall recruitment goals and targets for all student types.
  3. The plan will include a growth strategy designed to increase enrollment in high demand program areas.
  4. The plan will include recruitment strategies that serve the catholic Agnesian mission and values of Marian University.
  5. The plan will include marketing, advertising, and communication strategies to expand the recognition and reputation of Marian University.
  6. Optimize the university’s financial aid leveraging model to meet new student enrollment goals and maximize retention of continuing students.
  7. Provide vision and leadership to departmental strategic planning activities that provide outcome-oriented assessment and data driven decision-making.
  8. Cultivate corporate and community partnerships that enhance student recruitment and retention.
  9. Promote a student-centered environment that supports the personal, social, and academic development of all students.
  10. Manage and provide direction to all programs/departments reporting to the office for enrollment management including oversight of fiscal and personnel planning.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Reporting Relationships:

The Vice President for Enrollment Management reports directly to the president of Marian University and serves as a member of the President’s cabinet.

  1. The Vice President for Enrollment Management serves as a staff resource for the Board of Trustees and two committees of the Board of Trustees (The Mission Committee and the Business Committee).
  2. The Vice President for Enrollment is, as a member of the cabinet, part of a leadership team that relies upon open communication, cooperative good will, and a high-level perspective on university priorities.
  3. The Vice President for Enrollment Management will coordinate with members of the cabinet on all activities that affect the public image of Marian University.

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and SKILLS REQUIRED: 

  1. Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in relevant area;
  2. Minimum of five years’ senior level experience in areas including enrollment management, marketing and communications;
  3. Personal record of leadership and service demonstrating integrity, accountability, fiscal responsibility and achievement of goals;
  4. Demonstrated success in increasing student enrollment;
  5. Demonstrated expertise in higher education marketing;
  6. Experience with adult-student populations, graduate student populations, or online populations preferred.
