Sr. Mary Lou is a 1965 graduate of Marian College with a bachelor degree in Education. She furthered her education with a Masters degree in Reading and Learning Disabilities from DePaul University. She put those degrees to use, very happily, for 43 years in various elementary classrooms in Wisconsin, Michigan, Kansas and Indiana, within the Catholic School System sponsored by the Sisters or St. Agnes.
Retiring from teaching in 2005, she spend 100 days in the Sangre de Christo mountains at a sabbatical program. Following this was five years of service as Motherhouse administrator for the Sisters.
Sr. Mary Lou now does volunteer work at Nazareth Court and Center, the retirement community of the Sisters of St. Agnes. She also cares for her aging father at his home for part of each week.
Sr. Mary Lou is a firm believer in the value of a good education and appreciates what was provided to her. She always tries to promote education of quality for others.
