As a mathematics lecturer Linda Uselmann has been part of the Marian community since 2016, but she’s been part of the Fond du Lac community for much longer, having grown up in Eden and attending St. Mary’s Springs – Ledgers ’89! She obtained Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Mathematics Education from UW-Oshkosh, and was ABD at UW-Madison, where she first got the higher education teaching bug. She moved back to Fond du lac with her family in 2008. Her professional emphasis is teaching mathematics in a way that connects ideas to one another and to the world. She especially enjoys working with future and current educators, both in her role here as an instructor and while volunteering in local schools and serving on the Fond du Lac Board of Education. She has done work locally for SMSA and regionally for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee in mathematics curriculum and professional development. Her other interests include art, her cats, biking, supporting women and girls through the Soroptimist International service club, summer work on an organic vegetable farm, and solving puzzles of all kinds.
