Senior Cam Muller of Marian University men’s volleyball and freshman Kiara Williams of Marian University women’s basketball have been named the Sabres of the Month for February.

Muller (Elgin, Ill.) anchored the Marian offense and helped lead the Sabres to a 5-1 record for the month of February. He led the team with 56 kills, for a 3.11 kills per set average, and service aces with 11. He also ranked second on the team for total blocks with 16 and was third on the squad with 31 digs. Muller had multiple blocks in four of the six matches for February and had at least eight kills in all but one match. He had a pair of double-digit kill performances recording 11 kills at Wabash and 12 against Mount St. Joseph. On the season, Muller leads the team with 167.5 points and 20 service aces, while also ranking second on the team with 132 kills and third on the squad with 31 total blocks.

Williams (Warren, Mich.) dominated in the final month of the season and ultimately earned All-NACC recognition. She averaged a double-double for the month of February scoring 20.0 points per game with 11.3 rebounds per game. Williams scored at least 20 points in all but one game for the month scoring a season-high 27 points at home against Lakeland. She also had double-digit rebounds in all but one game giving her three of her 10 double-doubles on the season in February. Williams finished her first season at Marian averaging 13.4 points per game and 9.6 rebounds per game while shooting 46.9 percent from the field.

Marian men’s volleyball takes on Rockford at home tomorrow, Friday, March 3, for a 7 p.m. first serve.
