The recent winter weather across the Midwest has caused changes to the upcoming weekend of events for Marian University athletics.
The Marian baseball team has been forced to postpone both NACC doubleheaders this weekend resulting in no games this weekend for Sabre baseball. The Sabres have rescheduled their twin bill at Concordia Wisconsin for Tuesday, April 10 with first pitch at noon. The home doubleheader against Lakeland does not have a set makeup currently.
The Sabre softball program was scheduled to open their weekend slate at home against MSOE Saturday, April 7, but that game has been postponed with no makeup date announced yet. Marian is still scheduled to travel to Rockford in NACC action Sunday, April 8 for a noon twin bill.
Both the Marian men’s and women’s tennis programs were scheduled to play at home this weekend but all of their home matches have been moved to neutral locations. The men will travel to Sports Core in Kohler, Wis. Saturday, April 7 to take on Wisconsin Lutheran and MSOE in NACC action. The Sabres will close out the weekend at Elmhurst Sunday, April 8. On the women’s side, the Sabres are still scheduled to take on Lake Forest and North Park at Lake Forest Saturday, April 7, but their home match against Carroll Sunday, April 8 has been moved to the Oshkosh YMCA. The Sabres and Pioneers will warm up at 8 a.m. with first serve coming at 8:30 a.m.
