Wisconsin Technical School graduates can receive tuition discounts and generous transfer credits from Marian University as part of a partnership agreement between WTC and Marian University.

The educational partnership includes all popular Marian University fully online degree programs, such as the RN to BSN program. The university awards 80 transfer credits to WTC RN graduates.

Additional Marian University degree programs include:

The generous transfer credits policy allows students to complete their bachelor’s degree in just a few semesters.

WAICU Benefits for WTC Graduates

Under the terms of the 2020 agreement, Marian University and other private schools in Wisconsin agreed to offer WTC graduates special considerations. Dr. Rolf Wegenke, president of the Wisconsin Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (WAICU), said in a statement that the agreement opens the door for more students in Wisconsin to earn a bachelor’s degree.

He added that “this new agreement will make a difference as the state strives to increase the level of educational attainment and improve our position in the competitive knowledge economy.”

The agreement allows credits earned at WTC to count toward a bachelor’s degree, as long as the student earned a “C” grade in the last 10 years.

At Marian University, students who earned an associate degree from any WTC institution will have fulfilled all their general education requirements, except for Theology. Students fulfill this requirement by taking the 101: Introduction to Theology course.

That policy saves transfer students money because they do not have to retake courses. In addition, Marian University offers a 10% tuition discount for WTC alumni, current students, and employees who enroll in one of the university’s bachelor’s or master’s programs.
