Roser (Beaver Dam, Wis.) closed out the indoor portion of her freshman year and was a standout for the Sabres in field events. She became the first Sabre ever to compete in the weight throw, along with fellow freshman Emily Grunwald, at the Ripon Invite where she had a preliminary throw of 12.32 meters before finishing in eighth place. She also took home a fourth-place finish at the meet in the shot put with a toss of 11.27 meters. Roser then extended her own record in the shot put at the Titan Challenge with a throw of 11.77 meters to finish in seventh place. She capped off the month once again resetting the shot put record at the NACC Indoor Championships finishing in fifth with a throw of 12.09 meters.
Blanck (Fond du Lac, Wis.) had a six-point month to lead Marian men’s hockey to the NCHA Harris Cup semifinals for a third consecutive season. He closed out the regular season with three points in the final four games including a multi-goal game against Lawrence in the series opener of the Battle of Highway 41. Blanck then stepped up his game in the quarterfinal round of the Harris Cup where he posted three points in the two-game series. The Sabre forward opened the series with a goal in the first game and then had a multi-point game in the finale where he netted a short-handed game-winning goal that sent the Sabres on to the semifinal round of the Harris Cup. Blanck had a breakout season with 10 goals and five assists for a total of 15 points.
