Sabres compete at Gene Davis Invite

APPLETON, Wis. – Marian University cross country continued their busy end of the season competing at the Gene Davis Invite, hosted by Lawrence.
On the men’s side, UW-Oshkosh won the meet with Josh Janusiak of host Lawrence earning the individual title with a time of 25:43.
Jacob Leiden once again led the way for Marian finishing in 56th place with a time of 29:30.57. Next in for the Sabres was Adam Sydow who clocked a time of 36:30.23, while Jarod Silhavy rounded out the Marian lineup with a 38:54.77.
UW-River Falls earned the team win on the women’s side led by Abigail Fouts who finished in 22:49 for the individual title.
Kayla Gregar was the lone Sabre to compete finishing in 62nd place with a time of 28:52.16.
Marian opens championship season when they travel to the Wisconsin Private Championships Saturday, Oct. 14, hosted by Maranatha Baptist.
