MADISON, Wis. – Marian University women’s tennis (0-4, 0-3 NACC) fell on the road to Edgewood by a 6-3 final in NACC action.

The Sabres were able to jump out to an early 2-1 lead on the Eagles after doubles action.  At the No. 2 doubles flight Kyrsten Bruce and Erica Counter were able to earn an 8-6 win, while Aeryn Olson and Katrina Pokorny won 8-4 at the No. 3 flight.

Edgewood would rally in singles action, however, as Olson was the lone singles win Marian could manage at the No. 5 flight.  Olson needed a tie break for her victory taking the first set 6-2 before falling 6-1.  She then clinched the win with a 6-1 victory in the third set.

Marian plays their first home match of the season hosting Dominican tomorrow, Sunday, April 11, at noon.
