Marian University women’s golf completed action from their home invite, the Marian University Invite, held at Whispering Springs.
Marian was led by Morgan Hernandez who shot a 100 in her first round and then improved by one stroke with a 99 in her second round. Jacqueline Ruud also saw a one-stroke improvement between her rounds with a 105 and 104, while Shelby Davidson improved by eight strokes finishing with a 256. Kristen Frawley would only be able to compete in the first round shooting a 100.
Lake Forest earned the team title after finishing with a two-round total of 700, while Lily Sheppard earned the individual title after shooting an 81 in the second round, the lowest round of the invite.
Marian gears up for the NACC Championship held from Meadowbrook Country Club Sept. 28-30.
