Marian University women’s basketball (4-21, 4-16 NACC) was defeated 66-59 by MSOE to close out the season.

The Raiders were able to jump out to an early lead outscoring the Sabres 21-16 in the opening quarter.  A defensive second quarter saw MSOE extend their lead out to 31-21 with a 10-5 advantage in the second stanza.  The Raiders would score seven unanswered points heading into halftime.

After a slow start to the quarter, Marian finished with a 20-19 advantage in the third to cut their deficit down to nine heading to the fourth.  The Sabres continued to rally in the fourth quarter cutting their deficit down to as little as three at 60-57 with 1:53 remaining.  MSOE was able to hold off the late rally, however, with the final finishing at 66-59.

Senior Brianna Horton and freshman Whittney Jackson each scored 11 points to lead the Marian offense.  Freshman Madison Holdiman also had eight rebounds, while sophomore Paris Harris had three steals and a pair of assists.
