MILWAUKEE – Marian University men’s soccer (4-8-2, 2-6-1 NACC) held Wisconsin Lutheran scoreless in the first half but the Warriors would score three times in the second half to earn a 3-0 win.
The Sabres were outshot in the opening half 11-5 but senior Ian Chacon stopped all four shots on goal he faced. The Marian offense played even with the Warriors in the second half with each team firing 10 shots. WLC, however, found a pair of goals in the first 10:12 of the second stanza and added a goal in the 85th minute to ice the win.
Chacon (4-7-2) finished with seven saves in the defeat, while sophomore Cade Klusendorf led the offense with five shots.
Marian opens the final homestand of the season taking on Benedictine at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20 from Smith Field.
