MILWAUKEE – Marian University men’s soccer (3-6-1, 1-4-0 NACC) fell behind early and couldn’t bounce back being defeated by MSOE 5-1 in NACC play.
MSOE jumped out fast on the Sabres netting three goals in the first half as MSOE held a 9-3 shots in advantage. The Sabres were able to bounce back in the 58th minute when freshman Jack Ruscheinski fed a ball to fellow freshman Juan Herrera that he was able to finish from 10 yards out. The goal was the second of the year for Herrera and cut the Sabre deficit down to 3-1.
In the final minutes, however, the Raiders would net a pair of goals to ice the game and set the final at 5-1.
Marian hits the road once again to travel to Aurora Saturday, Oct. 6 for a 2:30 p.m. kickoff.
