Perl earns spot on Team of the Week

PERLSAINT PAUL, Minn. – Senior defenseman Derek Perl has been named to the Team of the Week for his efforts during the split of Lake Forest this past weekend.

Perl had a four-point weekend as Marian split with Lake Forest in a home-and-home series. Perl had a hand in four of the five Sabre goals over the weekend with one goal and three assists. His lone goal of the weekend proved to be the game-winner and came late in the third period of the series opener. Perl also skated in his 100th career game over the weekend.

Marian opens a home-and-home series at MSOE Friday, Jan. 27 at 7:05 p.m. before holding Alumni Night Saturday, Jan. 28 at 7 p.m. at Blue Line.
