Pennewell selected as Marian University’s Teacher of the Month

– Sarah Pennewell, a integrated studies program (ISP) instructor and special education teacher at Kimberly High School, was selected as Marian University’s January Teacher of the Month.

Pennewell has served as a teacher at Kimberly High School since 1999. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Special Education from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh, and has recently earned her master’s degree as a reading specialist.

The Teacher of the Month contest, presented by Marian University and WIXX, highlights one area teacher each month. Marian University presents each recipient with a complimentary gift certificate valid for a one credit graduate level professional development course worth $250. In addition, each Teacher of the Month recipient will receive a wine gift basket from Forgotten Fire Winery or Falling Waters Winery; a $100 gift certificate from the Day Spa; a $100 gift certificate from School House; a 100 wing party from The Bar, Hagemeister Park or Graystone Ale House; apparel from Marian University; and a cake from Festival Foods for the teacher’s lounge.

Deserving teachers may be nominated by visiting Marian University will select one teacher at the end of each month.
