WAUKESHA, Wis. – Sophomore Paige Rauhut led the Marian University softball pitching staff at the Finlandia Dome Classic and has been named NACC Pitcher of the Week.
Rauhut (McHenry, Ill.) opened her sophomore campaign with a bang as she threw a two-hit shutout over 5.0 innings with six strikeouts in a win over UW-Superior. The right-hander also threw 5.2 innings against the College of St. Scholastica where she struck out nine. Rauhut totaled a 3.94 earned run average for the weekend and held hitters to a .273 batting average.
Marian will next take on Finlandia at 10:30 a.m. (CST) and Smith at 6 p.m. (CST) Saturday, March 10 from Leesburg, Fla. to open the PFX Spring Games.
