MILWAUKEE – Senior Josh Nicklaus of Marian University men’s basketball has been selected as the NACC Player of the Week.

Nicklaus (Green Bay, Wis.) led Marian to a non-conference win over Lawrence and a NACC victory over Concordia Wisconsin to close out the first half of the season. He opened the week with his first double-double as a Sabre against the Vikings scoring 17 points to go with 10 rebounds. He shot 60 percent from the field and hit three of six shots from beyond the arc in the non-conference win. Nicklaus followed that up with 23 points and four rebounds against Concordia Wisconsin. The win over the Falcons marked the first time Marian defeated CUW at home since December 6, 2017. Nicklaus was also effective on the defensive end recording five steals against Lawrence and another four against CUW. For the week, he finished with a 20.0 points per game average while shooting 58.3 percent from the field.

Marian opens the second half of the season against UW-Eau Claire Thursday, December 29 at 5 p.m. from Oshkosh Arena.
