Marketing Professionals Partner with Marian University

Marian University’s School of Business and Career and Graduate School Services office hosted a Speed Interviewing and Resume Review Event for junior and senior Marketing students on March 27 at Marian’s Stayer Center.

Steve Andrew, Vice President of Marketing for IFS North America, organized this event along with Bill Albrecht, Marketing Program Director at Marian and Ashly Garner, Coordinator of Career and Graduate School Services. Andrew contacted Marian about businesses interested in helping graduating marketing students hone their interviewing tactics and resume writing skills with this valuable opportunity.

“It is unique in that this feedback comes directly from marketing professionals – not career placement services or human resources,” Andrew said. “It is our chance to let the students know what is important to succeed in the field of marketing. It is a venue where they gain valuable feedback before the ‘all bets are on’ first interview. In the end, if we are successful the students in our community should excel over the competition and we should all benefit with stronger job candidates.”

Organizations from a variety of industries attended this event, including Tim Michels from Pepsi.
