Marian women’s basketball picked 10th according to NACC preseason poll

MILWAUKEE – Marian University women’s basketball received 87 total votes to finish 10th in the NACC preseason poll, as voted on by the sports information directors and head coaches of the league.

Wisconsin Lutheran (27-2, 19-1 NACC), which advanced to the second round of last year’s NCAA Championship, topped the preseason poll with 312 points. Benedictine University, coming off a 21-4 season, picked up nine first-place votes and is second with 299 points. Concordia University Wisconsin snagged the remaining first-place tally and is third with 278 points, while Lakeland University (fourth, 238), Dominican University (fifth, 210), and Edgewood College (sixth, 205) round out the top six.

Aurora University (192), Concordia University Chicago (147), Milwaukee School of Engineering (137), Marian University (87), Alverno College (83), Rockford University (57) and Illinois Institute of Technology (30) round out the poll.
