Marian University’s School of Business inducts Sigma Beta Delta members

. – The School of Business at Marian University held induction ceremonies for new members of Sigma Beta Delta (SBD), the international honor society in business, management and administration at its annual Awards Ceremony in the Stayer Center for Technology & Executive Learning on March 31, 2016. 

Sigma Beta Delta (SBD), was established to encourage and recognize scholarship and to promote personal and professional improvement and honorable service in business.  Members commit to seek Wisdom (Sigma), Honor (Beta) and the Aspiration to seek meaningful goals (Delta) in their personal and professional life. 

Two honorary members were inducted into Sigma Beta Delta – Robert A. Fale and Dr. Andrew P. Manion.

Robert “Bob” Fale, served Marian as Interim President of Marian University from June 2013 to March 30, 2016.  Prior to service at Marian, Fale was President and CEO of Agnesian HealthCare and President/CEO of Robert Fale Healthcare Consulting.  Before coming to Fond du Lac he was an executive at Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) where he served in multiple capacities, including as Executive Director and President/CEO for their health systems in Iowa, North Dakota and Idaho. Fale received his BS in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh, and his Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Washington University in St. Louis. 

Dr. Andrew Manion, took office as the 16th President of Marian University on March 30, 2016.   Manion is former Executive Vice President and Provost at Aurora University.  He also served as Interim Dean of Business, Dean of Arts & Sciences, acting Chief Financial Officer and Vice President for Student Life at Aurora University.  He served at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, and York College of the City University of New York and is a former Assistant and Associate Professor of Psychology. Manion received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Saint Norbert College, his master’s and doctoral degrees in psychology from Adelphi University.
