Marian University began the new academic year by welcoming the Class of 2022 to campus on Monday, August 27. The Class of 2022 consists of 315 new freshman students, the second largest freshman class in the history of Marian University.
The incoming freshman and transfer class marks the second straight year the incoming class is over 410 students. Many of the new students come to Marian from area Wisconsin high schools and two-year schools; however, the class is well represented from schools throughout the Midwest and states as far away as Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Idaho, Maryland, South Dakota, Texas and Utah. Marian welcomed students from five different countries as well this fall.
“The Marian University community is delighted to welcome the Class of 2022 to campus. The large incoming classes of this year and last year have brought significant energy to campus,” said Jason Harmon, vice president for enrollment management. “The continued commitment of our faculty to develop and deliver an excellent academic experience to our students is the root of the success we have experienced. The opening of the new Dr. Richard and Leslie Ridenour Science Center this fall and the commitment of our President and Board of Trustees to offer an outstanding education at an affordable cost has further made Marian University a destination of choice for students.”
