Marian University to offer new reading teacher licensure program

. – Marian University’s School of Education is now offering a reading teacher licensure program that can be completed in a 100% online format.

“The Wisconsin Reading Teacher Program is another example of the School of Education’s commitment to provide innovative new programs,” said Dr. Sue Stoddart, dean of Marian’s School of Education. “This program prepares teachers to be the literacy leaders of the future, integrating technology to not only strengthen their instructional practices but improve student achievement.”

This licensure-only program is intended for educators who currently hold a Wisconsin teaching license, or have completed an approved teacher education program and have had at least two years of teaching experience.

Offered 100% online, Marian’s reading teacher licensure program offers three start times each year, with courses led by experienced leaders in the field of education. The program features six graduate level courses, and can be completed in as few as 12 months.

Marian University’s School of Education also offers a master of arts in education degree in the areas of educational technology, educational leadership and special education.
