Marian University to host Toastmasters open house and charter celebration

April 16, 2018

Marian University’s Sabre Speakers Toastmasters Club will host an open house and mock meeting on Wednesday, April 25, at noon, at Marian University’s Sadoff Auditorium located in the Stayer Center for Executive Learning and Technology.

Toastmasters International is a world leader in communication and leadership development. Toastmasters has more than 352,000 memberships. Members improve their speaking and leadership skills by attending one of the 16,400 clubs in 141 countries that make up their global network of meeting locations.

By regularly giving speeches, gaining feedback, leading teams, and guiding others to achieve their goals in a supportive atmosphere, leaders emerge from the Toastmasters program. Every Toastmasters journey begins with a single speech. During their journey, they learn to tell their stories. They listen and answer. They plan and lead. They give feedback and accept it. Through their community of learners, they find their path to leadership.

Join club members in celebrating the Sabre Speakers Toastmasters Club charter and see what Toastmasters is all about during the mock meeting and open house. Guests will have the opportunity to see how meetings are run, ask questions, and network with club members.

This event is free and open to the public.  Lunch will be served.  For more information or to register, please contact Scott Dell at SDell18@MarianUniversity.edu or 608.446.1000.
