Marian University to Host Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Prayer Breakfast

Join us for the Dr. MLK Breakfast on January 20, 2020

Marian University will host their Martin Luther King Jr. Community Prayer Breakfast on Monday, January 20, 2020 from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m..  The prayer breakfast will be held prior to a program honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr..  Guests will receive a buffet-style breakfast.  All activities will be held in the Stayer Center Dining Room.

With attorney and 2006 Marian graduate Truscenialyn Brooks serving as the keynote speaker, the program will include a prayer, musical presentation, a moment of silence for world religions and peace, the presentation of the 2020 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Spirit Award and a closing prayer.

Nominations Encouraged for the 2020 Spirit Award

The Martin Luther King Jr. Community Prayer program includes recognizing a community member or group with the Martin Luther King Jr. Spirit Award.

Due Dec. 6, 2019, nominations for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Spirit Award are currently being accepted. The award is given to a person, persons, or group who has honored the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by going above and beyond in their endeavors related to equality and social justice to benefit the Fond du Lac community.  Please complete and submit a nomination form.

Register for the Prayer Breakfast

Advanced registration is required for the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Prayer Breakfast before Jan. 2, 2020. The cost of attendance is $15 per person or $120 per table of eight. Please complete the registration form or email Michelle Ryan at mmryan@marianuniversity.edu.
