Marian University to host “Crisis Reality Training” with Jesus Villahermosa

FOND DU LAC, Wis. – On Monday, May 6 and Tuesday, May 7, Marian University will host “Crisis Reality Training” with instructor Jesus Villahermosa. The full day course, titled “Staff, This is a Lockdown,” runs from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the Stayer Center Auditorium and can be taken either on Monday or Tuesday. The cost of this training is $109 per person, whichincludes all handouts and training, as well as a certificate of attendance.

The course will cover a wealth of information, including:

  • The history of lockdowns
  • How to plan for best and worst case scenarios
  • The discussion of many of the high profile school and workplace shootings and presentations of what actions students and employees took during an active shooter event that led to their survival
  • How to communicate your lockdown plan to your employees and visitors
  • Tactics- a survival plan

On Monday, May 6, from 6:30- 8:30 p.m. in the Stayer Center Auditorium, Marian will also be hosting another training session by Villahermosa that is geared toward parents and what they can do if a situation happens at their child’s school. This session is free and open to the public.
