Marian University will hold its spring commencement on Saturday, May 18.
The commencement celebration, all of which will take place on the Marian University campus, will begin Friday, May 17 with the Radiologic Technology pinning ceremony in the Sadoff Auditorium in the Stayer Center for Technology at 4:30 p.m. Following at 5 p.m. will be the Nursing pinning ceremony in the Sadoff Gymnasium and the Education commissioning ceremony in Dorcas Chapel. To celebrate, a champagne reception hosted by Marian President Dr. Andrew Manion will be held at 6 p.m. in the Hornung Student Center for all graduates and guests.
A Graduation Liturgy at 10:30 a.m. in Dorcas Chapel will precede the Saturday, May 18 graduation ceremony, which begins at 12:30 p.m. under a tent on the main quad. Guests may start arriving at 11:30 a.m. A live stream of the ceremony will also be available at MarianUniversity.edu. All graduates and guests are invited to a reception following the ceremony.
The student commencement speaker will be Demond Mettlach, an English major/Psychology minor from Watertown, Wis. In total, 334 students will receive degrees, including: 202 undergraduate, 58 adult, 71 master’s and three doctoral.
