Marian University will hold its spring commencement at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 8.
The celebration will take place rain or shine on the field of Herr-Baker Field Baseball Stadium on the Marian University campus.
In accordance with recommendations from the Fond du Lac County Health Department and the Centers for Disease Control, graduates will be physically distanced for the entirety of the ceremony, and in-person spectators have been limited to two per graduate.
In total, 190 students will participate in the ceremony, including 165 undergraduate, 20 master’s and five doctoral candidates.
The student commencement speaker will be Brenda Ordonez, a Communications and Digital Media Studies major from Woodstock, Ill., while brother and sister graduates Austin and Emily Hill will sing The National Anthem.
Board Chair David Klumpyan, President Michelle Majewski, and General Superior of the Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes Sr. Jean Steffes will also make remarks, as will Faculty Senate President Leslie Jaber-Wilson.
