Marian University receives reaffirmation of accreditation for its nursing programs

Wis. – Marian University’s nursing programs have received reaffirmation of
their accreditation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
following an extensive self-study and site visit.”We are proud to
announce this important accomplishment that assures students and the community
of the excellence of the Marian University Nursing Programs, both today and for
many years to come,” said Dr. Quin Sullivan, interim dean of the School of Nursing and Health Professions at Marian University. “The support we have received from the
Sisters of St. Agnes, from parents, students, our professional colleagues and
the community in general has made this all possible.”

The accreditation
covers Marian’s baccalaureate and master’s degree programs in nursing, including
a Bachelor of Science in Nursing; Master of Science in Nursing in Nurse
Education and Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP); RN-BSN
Completion Program; RN-MSN Completion Program; and a Postgraduate Certificate in
Nursing Education. The accreditation is granted for 10 years, extending Marian’s
accreditation to December 31, 2024.

In addition, Marian University’s
spring 2014 nursing graduates earned a 91% pass rate on the NCLEX
