Marian University has announced a trio of promotions, effective immediately.
Dr. William Mangan, previously serving as interim vice president for advancement, has been named Vice President for Advancement and Alumni Relations. Mangan began working on special projects in advancement in Fall 2018 as special assistant to the president and became interim vice president for advancement earlier this year. He holds a Ph.D. in higher education and the Master of Arts degree in educational psychology from the University of Minnesota, and the Bachelor of Science degree in political science education from the University of South Dakota.
Dr. Joseph Foy, previously serving as dean of the College of Arts, Sciences, and Letters, has been appointed Dean of the Faculty. He holds a Ph.D. in American Government and Comparative Politics and an M.A. in Comparative Politics and International Relations, each from the University of Notre Dame, with a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations from Carroll College in Helena, Mont.
Sister Donna Innes, CSA, Ph.D., has been appointed Dean of Graduate Studies. A member of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Agnes, she is a professor of education/leadership studies and has served in a variety of administrative roles during her career at Marian. She joined Marian in 1992 after earning her Ph.D. from The Catholic University of America in Human Development/Education, a M.Ed. from the University of Dayton in Interdisciplinary Studies, and her B.S. from Marian University in Elementary Education/Social Studies.
