FOND DU LAC, Wis. -Marian University will host Hal Herzog, author of the book Some We Love, Some We Hate, and Some We Eat, on Monday, October 1, at 7:00 p.m. in the Stayer Center Auditorium. Herzog’s book is a part of the first-year seminar course as the common read among all first-year students.
Based on more than two decades of research, Herzog will share his perspective of “why animals matter.” He has been investigating the complex psychology of our interactions with other species and is particularly interested in how people respond to real-world ethical dilemmas. His research has included animal activists and researchers, cock fighters and circus animal trainers.
Herzog is an award-winning teacher and researcher. He is currently a professor of psychology at Western Carolina University.
