Marian University Hosts AppFest for Instructional Technology

June 14, 2012FOND DU LAC, Wis. — Marian University, in cooperation with the Fond du Lac School District, CESA 5, CESA 6 and the School District of North Fond du Lac, will present appFest 1 from Tuesday, August 14 to Thursday, August 16 in the Stayer Center.The event, set to occur annually, provides educators and technology enthusiasts of all levels with an opportunity to gain a comprehensive knowledge of instructional technology. Topics of discussion will include Google applications, the iOs operating system applications for Apple’s iPad and web-based tools and theories and implementation strategies for mobile devices.In addition to seminars and skills-application sessions, participants will also see keynote speaker Will Richardson, a former educator who has worked with over 10,000 educators over the last 22 years to teach the merits of online learning networks.The cost for the three-day event is $285, which includes conference fees, any necessary mobile device loans, breakfasts and lunches.
