FOND DU LAC, Wis. —
Marian University is pleased to
announce a new educational partnership with the Holy Redeemer Institutional
Church of God in Christ of Milwaukee, Wis.
The “Trained Pulpit – Trained
Pew Initiative” partnership allows adult students to receive an accessible,
affordable college education. This partnership allows adult students associated
with Holy Redeemer to engage in a quality educational experience and achieve
their goals at a new, convenient location. Upon acceptance and enrollment to
Marian University, these adult students can earn undergraduate and graduate
degrees, beginning in September of 2014. Based on interest, additional programs
will be made available, both at the undergraduate and graduate level.
“Holy Redeemer Institutional Church
of God in Christ has inspired us to continue our mission of sharing a quality
educational experience,” said Stacey Akey, vice president of enrollment
management. “This partnership allows students to achieve their goals and reach
their fullest potential.”
“Holy Redeemer Institutional
Church has embraced empowering educational initiatives for nearly 30 years. We
celebrate this historic educational partnership with Marian University and Holy
Redeemer which will afford countless hundreds of Wisconsin clerics, educators,
and community residents the opportunity to pursue and acquire excellent
academic acumen,” said Bishop Daniels.
Courses are offered on
Mondays and Saturdays in a face-to-face format at the Holy Redeemer campus,
with some courses able to be completed in as little as 7 weeks. Students
entering the program are able to transfer up to 96 credits toward a bachelor’s
degree based on previous experiences and knowledge gained from professional
development training, work experience, military training and/or college credits
as evidenced by portfolio submissions and/or transcripts.
