Marian University competes at the 2011 National Model UN Conference in New York

FOND DU LAC, Wis. — Fifteen Marian University students participated in the National Model UN Conference in New York held in April and represented the country of South Africa.

Over 2,000 students from Europe, Asia, South America and the United States competed in this international event. This is the fifth year that Marian has sent a team to Nationals.

Competing for Marian University were Taylor Putz of Fond du Lac; Tyler Donahue of Fond du Lac; Katie Sroka of Waupaca; Rachel Plantz of Oshkosh; Jalan Jaskot of Lake Saint Louis, MO; Raquel Nick of Slinger; Ashley Zumbrock of Chippewa Falls; Katlin Vande Hei of Greenville; Krista Kunkel of Rothschild; Emily Ries of Lomira; Jon Schumacher of Janesville; Angie Vis of Campbellsport; Becky Tyson of Pleasant Prairie; Kris Warner of Glenbeulah; and Miya Brunke of Kewaskum.
