Marian University announces new hires

Marian University has announced the hiring of several positions.

Dr. Michael Carroll will serve as the interim chair of the Department of Business, and holds a rank of professor. Carroll comes to Marian with over 30 years of academic experience.  Dr. Carroll previously worked at Benedictine University (Ariz.) serving as the President and Dean of the Moser College of Adult and Professional Studies; held a variety of positions with M.L. Carroll and Associates; Loyola University; DePaul University; Aurora University; Northwestern University; University of Illinois; Roosevelt University; Calumet College of St. Joseph; and Lewis University. Dr. Carroll is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Dr. Sherry Fontaine will serve as the Dean of Adult and Online Studies. Fontaine comes to Marian University with over 20 years of academic experience. Dr. Fontaine previously worked at Viterbo University, serving as the Chair and Associate Professor of the Online MBA in Healthcare Leadership program. Prior to that, she worked with Creighton University as the Program Director and Associate Professor of the Online Master of Public Health Program; Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University as the Associate Dean of the Graduate School in the National Capital Region; Director of the Northern Virginia Center and held positions with Park University, D’Youville College, and Marywood University.

Dr. Kimberly Udlis will serve as the Associate Dean/Associate Professor in the Department of Nursing. Udlis joins Marian University with over 15 years of academic and nursing experience.  Udlis most recently worked at Bellin College as the MSN Program Director and Associate Professor. She has also worked at the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh as the Assistant Director of the Advance Practice Nursing Graduate Program; Agnesian Healthcare; Aurora Healthcare; Fox Cities Community Clinic; and ThedaCare.
