Marian to hold annual Alumni & Friends Golf Outing

May 30, 2018

Marian University’s Office of Alumni Relations will host the 10th annual Alumni & Friends Golf Outing on Friday, June 15 at Whispering Springs Golf Club in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

Whether you’re a novice or expert golfer, Marian University invites you to come together to not only enjoy a round of golf, but support the Marian University Scholarship Fund and the future students of Marian University. Participants and guests are also invited to end the day with a reception and buffet dinner with new colleagues and old friends.

“This event is essential to our efforts to raise funds for scholarships,” said Grant Monroe, Director of Alumni Relations. “Through this event, together we’ve raised over $30,000 to support students in need.”

Registration begins at 11am and golf begins at 11:45am with a shotgun start. The reception will begin at 4:45pm, with a buffet dinner at 5:45pm and a live and silent auction at 6:30pm.

To participate in the event, the cost is $115 per person or $460 per four-person team. The participation fee includes lunch, a ¼ zip pullover shirt, 18 holes of golf, a cart, the Alumni & Friends dinner, and more. Registration for the event must be completed by Friday, June 6. To register for the event, go to: http://www.marianuniversity.edu/golfouting

All proceeds from the event go to the Alumni Scholarship Fund that supports Marian University students and ensures they receive the financial aid they need. In 2017-18, the Fund awarded $15,000 in scholarships. The students who receive these scholarships are junior or senior status, have a strong commitment to their academics and Marian University, and are constantly giving back to the community in various ways.

If you would like to donate to the Marian University Scholarship Fund, there are event sponsorship opportunities available, ranging from $100 to $5,000. By engaging in sponsorship, you will help Marian students and gain exposure to participants from throughout the county.
