Marian student selected for Erroll B. Davis Award

. – The Erroll B. Davis Award for Minority Achievement was presented at the Marian University School of Business annual Awards Ceremony in the Stayer Center for Technology & Executive Learning on March 31, 2016. 

The 2016 award was presented to graduating senior Christian Hernandez from Zion, IL.  Hernandez is majoring in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing.  He has worked for Practive, Jewel Osco and Menards, and has volunteered at the Northern Illinois Food Bank.

The Erroll B. Davis Fund was created in 2006 by the Alliant Energy Foundation in honor of Mr. Erroll B. Davis Jr. and his years of leadership and service to the utility industry.  It was his intention to recognize the outstanding scholarship and community service of minority undergraduate students. 

The award is presented jointly by Alliant Energy Foundation and The Wisconsin Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (WAICU).  Presenting the 2016 Erroll B. Davis Award for Minority Achievement were Steve Weston, Senior Manager of Customer Operations for Alliant Energy and Mark Navarro, Director of Outreach at WAICU.
