Marian softball announces winter camp

December 7, 2017

Marian University softball has announced a winter camp opportunity for student-athletes ranging from grades 3-12.

The camps will run every Saturday from January 27 to February 17 and are broken down into two sections; grades 3-7 and grades 8-12.  All camp sessions will be held in Lenz Fieldhouse so there will be no cleats or street shoes allowed.  Campers are also required to bring their own glove and batting helmet.  The camp staff will include the current Marian softball coaching staff as well as current student-athletes on the Sabre softball team.  Camp opportunities include hitting, pitching and all-around.  The all-around camps will include instruction on hitting, infield defense and outfield defense.  All campers will receive a free t-shirt at the conclusion of the camp.

For the grades 3-7 camp, there are a total of five sessions available broken down into one pitching, one hitting and three all-arounds.  For the pitching camp, catchers will be provided for the pitchers.  Prices range from $30 for one session to $80 for all five camp sessions.

The camp for grades 8-12 features eight total sessions broken down into four pitching sessions, one hitting session and three all-arounds.  Catchers will also be provided for any pitchers during the pitching sessions.  Prices for these camps range from $40 for one session to $160 for all sessions.
