Marian, Moraine Park to launch “Educational Fusion” partnership

November 3, 2015

FOND DU LAC, Wis. –

Marian University and Moraine Park Technical College (Moraine Park) have formed an inclusive partnership,
Educational Fusion: The Complete Experience,

which will offer a seamless educational transition between the institutions.

Students who engage in this partnership may take courses at both institutions, while working toward both their associates and bachelor’s degrees. Enrollment in this program can begin at either institution and is available at every enrollment entry point.

“This innovative partnership between Moraine Park and Marian University will allow students to achieve the ‘dream degree’ in that they will get the best of both worlds – the critical technical proficiency necessary to become the finest possible practitioner, married to the liberal arts, to ensure the adaptability so necessary in this ever-changing world,” said Dr. Sheryl Ayala, interim vice president of academic affairs at Marian.

“For many years, Moraine Park and Marian have had credit transfer partnerships in place to allow students to get their degree from our college and then transfer into Marian should they choose to earn a bachelor’s degree,” said Dr. James Eden, vice president of academic affairs at Moraine Park. “Educational Fusion moves those partnerships to the next level by allowing students to be enrolled at both institutions at the same time, letting them take advantage of Moraine Park’s lower tuition, while still being able to participate in much of what each school has to offer.”

As part of this partnership, Marian University has articulated a variety of Moraine Park’s programs into select bachelor degree options. Although not all programs have specific articulation agreements, most courses taken at Moraine Park will transfer, as long as they are part of a degree program and have a grade of C- or better.
