MILWAUKEE – Marian University men’s volleyball received 113 total votes to finish seventh in the NACC preseason poll, as voted on by the sports information directors and head coaches of the conference.
Defending champion Benedictine received 14 of the 22 first-place votes to earn the top spot in the poll. The Eagles picked up 234 total points followed by Dominican who received 217 points with six first-place votes and MSOE who earned 205 points with a pair of first-place votes.
Aurora University is fourth with 172 points, while Lakeland University edged Concordia University Wisconsin, 137-130, for fifth place. Marian University (113), Illinois Institute of Technology (96), Concordia University Chicago (70) and new programs at St. Norbert College (46) and Rockford University (32) round out the poll.

Marian opens the season Friday, Jan. 17 at home taking on Maranatha Baptist for a 7 p.m. first serve.
