Marian men’s tennis ends season with sweep of CUC

Marian University men’s tennis (2-11, 2-6 NACC) fell to Dominican 7-2 before closing out the season with a 9-0 victory over Concordia Chicago.
In the opener of the day, Danny Roe and Joey Dittman teamed up at No. 1 doubles to earn an 8-6 win against the Stars. Dittman then completed a personal sweep with a thrilling three-set win at No. 2 singles at 6-4, 3-6 and 12-10.
The Sabres then closed out their season strong with a sweep of Concordia Chicago. Dittman and Roe once again earned a No. 1 doubles win at 8-3, while Lawson MacDonald and Ryan Biffert earned an 8-0 shutout at No. 2 doubles and Brandon Ruis teamed up with Coy Paulson for an 8-2 win at No. 3 doubles.
Roe would take the top the flight at No. 1 singles 6-4, 6-0 and Dittman closed out a perfect 4-0 day with a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles. MacDonald then won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 3 singles and Ruis earned a No. 4 win by a score of 6-0, 6-3. Biffert earned a straight sweep at No. 5 singles 6-0, 6-0, while Paulson closed out the sweep with a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles.
