LAKE GENEVA, Wis. – Marian University men’s golf shot an opening round score of 310 and sit in third place at the MSOE Invitational.
The Sabres sit 10 strokes behind Carthage who holds the team lead, while Jake Grabner of Loras sits atop the individual leaderboard after an even-par 71.
Freshman Christian Taylor led the way for Marian with a 74 and is currently tied for third. Fellow freshman Jake Sherwood is three shots off his pace with a 77 and is tied for 13th, while sophomore Aaron Rick shot a 79 for a tie for 21st. Freshman AJ Rambaud closed the scoring for Marian with an 80, while freshman Maxwell Dye shot an 82 to round out the MU lineup.
Marian concludes the MSOE Invitational tomorrow, Monday, Oct. 2, from the Grand Geneva Golf Course.
