FOND DU LAC, Wis. — The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) has added Marian University’s Human Resources degree to its list of programs that fully align with SHRM’s HR Curriculum Guidebook and Templates. The HR Curriculum Guidebook and Templates were initially developed by SHRM’s 2006 academic initiative to define the minimum HR content areas that should be studied by HR students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. SHRM has identified just 263 programs in 213 educational institutions throughout the world as being in alignment with its suggested curriculum.“I am pleased that our efforts over two years have paid off with this recognition for Marian from SHRM,” said Dr. Thomas DePaoli, director of Marian’s management program. “Our program’s goal is to prepare graduates to function as competent, ethical, entry-level human resource practitioners.”Dr. DePaoli led the program development to achieve this recognition, along with assistance from adjunct instructor Beth Bayless and others in Marian’s School of Business.
